The Wedding of Sarah & Joe!
This past weekend Sarah and myself were able to attend a wedding of one of our good friends Sarah & Joe. Lets start by saying, it felt nice to be on the other end of things - for the most part! Sarah was included as a bridesmaid, since the bride and her are childhood friends. We gifted them a Photo Booth, with prints, a guestbook, and also provided uplighting as well.
The wedding was held at Historic Shady Lane in York, PA. This venue is absolutely stunning! Upon pulling up to the venue, you are greeted by a historic grand gated entrance. Pulling into this place, you feel like you’re entering royalty! The venue boasts multiple homes in which the wedding party, and the couple can get prepared. They offer many areas in which to have your ceremony, which allows couples to cater to their specific style. Cocktail hour is held on a patio near a historic green house. This place has countless areas to utilize for unique photo opportunities. A short walk up the gravel path leads you to the reception tent. Having attended many weddings, I have found most venues do not tend to them properly. However, Historic Shady Lane takes impeccable care of their tent and its drapery.
As being a guests and also a wedding pro for this wedding, I was able to obtain a unique perspective of the staff of this venue. Having been involved in the planning process, I can say, this venues staff is top notch. Courtney the planner was detailed, communicative, and passionate. Due to the distance of some of the locations, they had staff on hand to help guests with trouble walking by utilizing a few golf carts.
Catering was provided by Farmacy Catering, which was amazing! The DJ brought the vibes and the guests were ready to party, and that they did!
As wedding pros, we look for unique ways to stand out from our competitors. Often times, when you hire us for Photo Booth, we will provide a selfie stand near the ceremony area for use when guests arrive, the cocktail area, as well as the reception. This particular wedding set a record for the amount of media that was taken! The primary booth at the reception was decorated with a hedge wall and the very trendy neon signs. Guests raved about this, and I am so glad we could be a part of this moment in their lives.
I can’t forget, the night cap to it all! They ended the night with Squires personal size pizza.
Shout out to all the wedding pros and the bride and groom for pulling off such a special and unique wedding!
